My Travel Necessities

My Travel Necessities

As I've mentioned several times, right now is wedding mania for me, which means lots of travelling every weekend! I've put together a list of my must-haves for when I travel, because when you're busy and on the go, these must-haves are a life saver!

1) Maybelline Falsies Mascara: This is hands down my favorite mascara! It doesn't matter how long of a day I've had or how little time I've had to get ready, as long as I have this mascara, my make-up looks like it's at least put together!

2) Cheap Sunglasses: Let's be real. Expensive sunglasses are great, but when you're travelling and throwing in a bag, then in a purse, and possibly across the car, cheap sunglasses are the way to go. No crying when these get broke, because they're just $6 to begin with!

3) Camera: In case you haven't noticed, I sort of like to document my life through pictures! Because of this, I love to have a camera on hand for those perfect moments! (or an iPhone works, too!)

4) Say Yes to Cucumbers Face Wipes: When you've had a long day of travelling, having the ability to cleanse your face on the go can really turn your day around! I love these wipes because they are great for my skin and they really wake me up!

5) Essie Nail Polish: I think it's a rule that when you travel, your nail polish must crack and come off. Because of this, I now bring nail polish with me so I can fix the chips!

6) Victoria Secret Vanilla Lace Body Spray: When you're travelling, it's pretty inevitable that you'll have to hit a fast food restaurant at some point. The smell gets in your car, which gets on you, and who wants to go around smelling like that the rest of the day? This body spray is a must!

7) Pearl Necklace: Sometimes you have to dress up more than expected when travelling, and one of the easiest ways to dress up an outfit is to put on a pearl necklace. It matches almost everything, and it adds a sense of elegance, so it's perfect for tight packing!

8) Light Cardigan: You never know when the weather is unexpectedly going to change, so having an extra layer on hand is always a good idea. I like to bring a cardigan in a neutral color so that it will match most anything.

9) Maybelline Lip Gloss: Lip gloss is just hands down a must for travelling. You can dress yourself up more with a good deep shade of red while also keeping those lips healthy!

This weekend I am off to my best friend's wedding in my hometown! I am so excited to be one of her bridesmaids! I can't wait to see how beautiful she is going to be!

I hope you're having a great week! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Halloween Costumes for Work

Halloween Costumes for Work

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year, because it doesn't matter how old you get, dressing up is always fun, and so is eating candy like a child. However, as you get older, it becomes more difficult to find costumes that are still professional enough to wear to work, so I took a spin on some wonderful Disney princesses costumes and made them work appropriate. How cute would it be to walk into the office on Friday all dressed up like a cute business-like Disney princess? I'm pretty sure that it will make working on Halloween at least a little bit better!

I'm working on my own costume for the Halloween party that I am attending on Thursday with my classmates. I am so excited, and I can't wait to show you all my costume! What is your costume for Halloween this year?

Have a great day, and don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Striped

Top: Old Navy
Jeans: old (similar)
Booties: Chinese Laundry
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

This turtleneck from Old Navy is such a must have this fall. I have two of them (after I got this one, I had to get a second one!). I was able to snag them on sale for $7 each last week during their big birthday sale, and right now they are having another sale plus 20% off your purchase online! What a steal! I also can't get enough of this tassel necklace from The Sparkle Exchange. I've worn it three times this week and I just absolutely love it!

This weekend was such a busy one! Chris and I left Friday afternoon to go to Fayetteville. We got to catch up with some friends at a bonfire Friday night, and then Saturday morning we went hiking at Devil's Den. Saturday afternoon we attended our friends' wedding, and it was such a beautiful ceremony! It was also great to be able to spend some time with our friends from the University of Arkansas.

Happy Monday! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Gameday Fun

Turtleneck: Gap
Vest: Hipsway
Pants: Groopdealz
Booties: Chinese Laundry
Necklace: Square Hearts
Nails: Jamberry c/o

This vest has definitely been on repeat lately for me. I just can't get over how warm and cozy it is, and the colors just match everything! I wore this outfit to the Razorback game last weekend (unfortunately it ended up being much warmer than expected and I had to shed the vest). I had a great time at the game despite the loss, and it was fun to spend some time with Chris!

This weekend Chris and I are headed to Fayetteville to the first of our many weddings that we will be attending the next several weekends. I am really excited to be headed back there just in time to see all the beautiful fall foliage! Fayetteville is my favorite place in the world in the fall because the trees are absolutely stunning! Stay tuned on Instagram, because I'll definitely be posting some beautiful pictures! (If you aren't already following me, you can follow me here).

Happy Thursday everyone! In case you missed it, congratulations to Erin Leonard on winning the Jamberry Nails Giveaway! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

BEARPAW Buds

It's no secret that BEARPAW is one of my favorite brands for boots, and I was really excited when I got to start working on a Back to School/Fall project with some of my friends! Meet Erin and Katrina, two of my new friends from physical therapy school. We love these boots from BEARPAW because they are so warm, yet incredibly comfortable at the same time! We love how easily these boots can be paired with a casual yet chic outfit, and I cannot wait to transition these to winter! These boots will be perfect on those snowy days when you need to keep your feet warm, but want to be stylish at the same time! You can find these boots here.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!
