One of the hardest things about living in Arkansas is the transition between seasons, because the transition is usually extremely bi-polar, with one day being 70 and the next day being 40! My solution to this is to mix and match winter and spring attire! Although it was cold enough for boots, I couldn't help but add a scarf with gorgeous spring colors just to keep me excited for the warmer weather that's returning this week! 

Thank you so much for bearing with me last week as I was away for most of the week on spring break and taking a break from pretty much everything! Just 5 more weeks of school and I'll have another semester of physical therapy school under my belt. I can't wait! Spring Tanks

With it being Spring Break for me this week, I have been really into spring tanks lately! I can't wait for the warmth to catch up with the season so I can finally break out some tanks and wear! I am loving all the ruffles that are popular this season along with the aztec designs. Once again, I am also loving the fringe and crochet, as I have been all season. 

This weekend I took a road trip to Dallas to visit one of my friends from back four years ago when we were camp counselors together. She took me to the Galleria for the first time, and if my funds would permit, I'm pretty sure I could spend all day there! I also enjoyed downtown Dallas, and just the opportunity for some laughs and fun! What did you do with your weekend?

Living Room Makeover

Since I've been cooped up at home for the last few days with the flu, I've had a lot of time on my hands to spend on Pinterest looking for ideas for a living room makeover. When this semester ends, I have plans to make several changes in my living room using many items that my roommate and I already have; however, I've also been looking for a couple new additions, particularly a beautiful rug and an accent chair. I've been shopping for a rug for months, but I just can't seem to find one that I love at a price that I love. I almost bought one on Rugs U.S.A. a few weeks ago, but when I finally decided to spend the money, of course they were sold out of the one I wanted. What suggestions do you have on shopping for a rug for the living room?

It finally turned into Spring here on Saturday with 60 degree weather (and yet it still took a couple days for all the snow to melt!). I was so excited to finally get a break from my boots, so I broke out my moccasins for lunch with my family and an afternoon in Little Rock with Chris. I got this scarf for Christmas from my sister, and I'm so excited to finally have the perfect weather for a lightweight scarf (if you've checked my Instagram, it's been on repeat this week!). I've also gotten several questions about my bag after it made an appearance on Instagram over the weekend, and while it is sold out online, I linked a similar bag from the same website. This website is great for finding affordable fashion items!

Current Spring Obsessions

Now that Daylight Savings time is in effect and the snow has finally melted, I'm ready to break out all my bright spring clothes and enjoy the outdoors! Currently, I can't get enough of all things crochet and fringe, and they are the perfect fun pieces to take along on your spring break getaway! I currently am on the hunt for the perfect lace and fringe kimono!

Favorite Affordable Beauty Products

Being a graduate student, I am on quite a budget (quite a tiny one that is). I try to be thrifty with my purchases, all the way down to my beauty products. As much as I love my Essie nail polish, sometimes I just can't fork out eight dollars. When it comes to eye shadows, as much as I have been eyeing an Urban Decay palette, this mini palette from Almay works pretty well, too. I have sworn by my Maybelline Falsies mascara for quite some time, but after my review of the NYC mascara, I may be making a switch soon. 

Every one of these products is under $10 except for the Almay foundation, but if you catch a sale, you can find it for around $7 (if you're a Kroger customer, it's on sale!). What are your favorite affordable beauty products?
