Bring on the Sprinkles

It's no secret that if you love what you're eating, you're probably going to stick with your diet (or not-diet if you truly enjoy what you're eating!). I love playing around with recipes in order to find foods that I love that also don't break the calorie bank! My latest adventure in recipe tweaking was a Cake Batter Protein Shake. I found a recipe for this, but I tweaked some things to make it healthier!

Cake Batter Protein Shake
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey Vanilla)
3 packets of Stevia/Splenda
1 teaspoon imitation vanilla extract
2 drops imitation almond extract
1/2 cup water
5-10 ice cubes
Sprinkles (optional)

Directions: Combine all ingredients except for the sprinkles in a blender and blend until smooth. Top with sprinkles.

Nutrition Information: 228 Calories, 2.5 g Fat, 11.9 g Carbohydrates, 38 g Protein

If you aren't into using protein powder but use other powders, like Shakeology or meal replacement powders, this recipe will work for those as well!

God Bless!
