Holiday Outerwear Guide

With the holidays right around the corner, so many fun holiday activities will be taking place outdoors, including holiday light tours and Thanksgiving/Christmas parades. I love to look festive for these events. and I wanted to share some of my favorite holiday outerwear outfits that I can't wait to wear this season. 

Look #1: This look is easy for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. This coat is one of my favorites currently, and I linked the exact pair of OTK boots that I own (Rampage brand).

Look #2: This one may be my favorite as it again has my favorite style of coat, but I love the pops of red and gold for the holidays, especially the shoes!

Look #3: It's inevitable that the weather may not always cooperate, so it's important to have a back-up for when the rain and snow start falling. I love my red hunter boots and wear them year-round, but they come in particular handy during the holidays when I'm wanting to look festive.

Gifts for Your Girls

Not only do I love to look for the perfect gift for Chris for Valentine's Day, but I also love to show the ladies in my life how much I love them as well! I feel like it is very important to let everyone know how much you love them, whether friend/boyfriend/husband/family! Because of this, I like to put together little gift bags every year to let them know how much I care. Here are some of my picks for great items to give to the women in your life that you love! 

I know that I have had so many posts about Valentine's Day, which might make me seem just a little bit over the top about it, but I love this holiday so much because I love having a day to simply celebrate love! I'm not all about the mushy part of it, but I do love to let the people that I love know it, and this is such a great opportunity to make extra sure that they know how much I care, because my life just wouldn't be as good without them!

Summer Reading

One of my favorite things about summer is my ability to read whatever I want. I've recently been re-reading the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. This is a wonderful book, so if you ever get the chance to read it, I highly recommend it. I also got the chance to listen to Francis Chan speak back in January when I was at the Passion Conference, and he was wonderful. He is so inspiring, and I hope you get a chance to check out his book!

Now, on to the outfit! Bearpaw does it again with these espadrilles. They are the perfect color to match my new J.Crew tank (yay!), and as with every other Bearpaw shoe, they are incredibly comfortable! My jeans I actually bought last summer when I was in Australia. When I bought them I thought they were navy, then I realized they sometimes look purple, but either way, they are one of my favorite pairs of skinny jeans! Have a great weekend everyone!

Last week when C was in town I struggled to find outfits that would work because the weather was being super weird! One minute it would be cold and raining, and the next the sun would pop out and it would be super hot! I put together this outfit for our outing to check out the new food trucks here in Fayetteville (typical college town!), and we had such a fun time! This top from Square Hearts is an absolutely perfect top, and I got so many compliments on it! It's not quite as wide as a piko top (I'm a big fan of piko tops!), but it fits loosely, but is still very flattering! Now let's talk about this bag! I have always wanted a 3.1 Phillip Lim bag (I mean, who hasn't?), however, there is no way in the world I could ever afford one, so I settled for an incredible look-alike for just $37! It's the perfect bag to just throw a few items in and go, and I love it!

I got this skirt at Forever 21 a couple months ago as I was looking for some comfortable maxi skirts. This one is absolutely wonderful and I love wearing it! It's no secret that women sometimes turn to maxi skirts and dresses when they want to escape from wearing pants (I mean we all do it, right?), and this is definitely one that falls under that category when it comes to comfort!

A Date Night Look

Whether you want your dress cut above the knee or below the knee, tight fitted or loose fitted, eShakti has just what you need in order to take a look you love and fit it to your body comfortably. The particular dress that I am wearing turned out to be incredibly comfortable, and the cut is a perfect modest length for me! I particularly love the embroidered detail at the top of the dress. Last night C came up to visit me in Fayetteville before heading to Columbia, MO to help with a church plant there. I sure am going to miss him this summer, but I am incredibly proud of him for what he is planning to do with his summer.
