Poncho Obsession

Poncho Love

I've been really obsessed with ponchos lately, and I'm really excited that they're making a comeback (my 7th grade self would be so proud of the one I used to own!). I love ponchos because they are just so comfortable! They are easy to throw on and stay warm, and you look so put-together so easily. All of the ones above are less than $50, and I am loving them!

I've been a little under the weather this past week, so I apologize for no outfit posts! I'll keep posting some good holiday items and wish lists until I get back to being healthy and can take some outfit pictures again! I hope you're having a great week! Thanksgiving OOTD

Thanksgiving OOTD

One of my favorite parts of fashion blogging is coming up with great outfits for the holidays. Although we've already had our first snow, we're technically still in Fall, so I went with some warm neutrals. Capes and ponchos are perfect for this time of year, and I am loving this one from Asos currently. Also, this bag from Forever 21 is so affordable, yet it pulls this outfit together so well.

I hope you are having a great Monday! I am excited that this is a short school week, although most of my break will be spent studying. Just three more weeks until Christmas break! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

November Snowfall

Pants: old (similar)
Sweater: old (similar from F21)
Vest: old (similar)
Head Warmer: Handmade by me :)
Boots: BEARPAW c/o

On Monday morning, I happened to wake up to some wonderful snow on the ground! I was so excited that I legitimately got ready as fast as I could and went outside in it for a few minutes before school. Snow turns me into a child instantly! On Sunday night, I watched Frozen, drank some hot chocolate, and put my Christmas tree up, and that brought the snow, so I think I need nights like that more often!

These boots from BEARPAW are so perfect for the snow. They are so warm (fur lined!), and I'm pretty sure my feet would stay toasty without socks even (not that I want to try that out or anything). I also was excited because it's finally cold enough to start wearing my head warmers again! I taught myself to crochet through the use of Youtube videos a few years ago, and now I enjoy making my own head warmers and scarves!

I hope you're having a great week! Mine is staying very busy! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Baby It's Cold Outside

Button-up: J.C.Penney
Sequin Shirt: Target (old) (similar)
Leather Jacket: Target (old) (similar)
Jeans: Silver Jeans
Booties: Chinese Laundry

These past few days here in Central Arkansas have been brutally cold! (as has been true for many places this past week!) I was really excited to go back to layering again, because it is one of my favorite things about dressing for the cold. Once you have the essentials, it's so easy to mix and match outfits with layers to get a different look every time!

I can't get enough of this blanket scarf! If you're looking for one, I highly suggest this one that I got on Amazon. My budget just wasn't quite large enough for the Zara one, but this one is perfect and keeps me so warm. I've been trying out different ways to wear it, and this look sure does keep me warm! (it was so cold when we were shooting these photos!).

Happy Monday! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

P.S. - I'm in the market for a Canon Rebel camera, so if you have any pointers for me, I sure would love to hear them!

Start Bundling Up

Sweater: Forever 21 (old) (similar for $13!)
Vest: Old Navy
Boots: BEARPAW c/o

It's starting to get really cold here in Central Arkansas (as I'm sure most of the country is as well!). That means it is time to start layering up and dressing warm! We even got sleet here two nights ago, which is crazy before Thanksgiving!

One of my favorite ways of bundling up is to wear warm boots, and BEARPAW does it again with their super warm Christine boots. Every single pair of boots that I own from BEARPAW keep my feet very warm and ready for the cold weather! I have warm a pair of their boots on almost every cold day this week!

I hope you have had a great week, and Happy Friday! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Sparkle, Sparkle, Dot

Top: Target (old) (similar) (similar)
Tights: Groopdealz (same)
Booties: Chinese Laundry
Initial Necklace: Belle Boutique

I wore this outfit to give a presentation at school last Friday. Even when I dress up for a presentation, I love to add a little bit of fun flare to it, so I added the polka dot tights! I just love how fun they are, and they turn a boring work outfit into a much more fun outfit! I found them on Groopdealz awhile back, but they have the exact same ones on American Apparel right now!

This sequin top is one from two years ago actually, but I just love the sequins on it so much. I can't wait for Christmas to get here so I can pull out all of my sequin items and wear them! The holidays can't get here fast enough!

I hope you all are having a great week! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Fall Flare

Blanket Scarf: Amazon
Sweater: Target
Skirt: Nordstrom
Booties: Chinese Laundry

I've recently gotten really into wearing midi skirts, and this trend is really growing on me. I love the length paired with some great heels or booties. I think it just makes me feel like a little girl again when I used to spin around and twirl my dresses!

The ever popular blanket scarf has finally made an appearance! It has been sold out of everywhere that I have been looking for it, but I happened to run across it on Amazon with Prime shipping, so I was immediately sold on it! I wore it to an outdoor wedding over the weekend, and it did such a great job of keeping me warm! I highly recommend it for the cold weather that is coming! (or that is already here for Central Arkansas!).

Touch of Glam

Vest: Old Navy
Shirt: old (similar)
Shoes: BEARPAW c/o
Earrings: Tidebuy c/o

One of the most difficult tasks is coming up with an outfit for cheering on your favorite team! Although my beloved Cardinals did not make it to the world series, I still managed to be a "Cardinals fan" for one of the Halloween parties that I went to awhile back (yes I know, I've been so behind on blogging that I'm still catching up on discussing Halloween!). This puffer vest was perfect to keep me warm while matching my favorite team's colors perfectly.

Even when dressing down like this, it is important to me to always add a touch a glam. These earrings from Tidebuy are one of my favorite pairs of earrings! I love wearing studs because of their comfort, yet chic style, and these fit that description perfectly. Tidebuy has many great options that are incredibly affordable yet very classy at the same time.

My tests galore have slowed down a little until after Thanksgiving, and then tests and finals begin! But, I'm at least back to regular blogging for now! I hope you are having a great week! Don't forget to follow along on GFC and Bloglovin!

Uniform

Uniform

I can't believe I have taken an entire week off from blogging! This past week has been crazy busy! Last weekend I was in my best friend's wedding, and it was wonderful! I had a great time just spending time with old friends and celebrating the new marriage! As soon as the wedding was over though, it was right back to work! I have a huge test tomorrow and another huge test on Monday (Gross Anatomy and Physiology for those of you keeping up!), which is keeping me really busy this week! It's almost over though. This might be the most excited I have ever been for Christmas break! (I'm seriously about to break out the Christmas music).

This outfit is one that I have been living in lately. When you're really busy and just don't have time to thoughtfully put together an outfit, it's great to grab a button down shirt and vest, some booties, and my favorite pair of jeans. It's comfortable, functional, and still keeps me looking fabulous. What is your go-to look?
